DOD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Spc. Levi E. Nuncio, 24, of Harrisonburg, Va., died June 22 in Kunar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
Also killed in the same action was Pfc. Joshua L. Jetton of Sebring,FL...thoughts and prayers with his family , and with the families of all our recent fallen heroes
According to this KITV Honolulu news story both soldiers were on their first deployment from Schofield Barracks.
